Trying to conceive a girl tips you can try

While there are certainly no guarantees in life, much less in conception, there are some practices for natural gender selection that couples have used with varying degrees of success. It is thought that the point of the cycle in which conception happens has quite a bearing on the gender of the child. Planning intercourse is just one way to tip the scales in favor of having a boy or a girl. The positioning of the couples during intercourse as well as the diet of both partners leading up to conception are also thought to play a part in the gender of a baby.

When a couple seeks out information on how to trying conceive a girl, they will find that the bulk of their research points to timing. There are different theories on this matter, but the consensus seems to be that vaginal PH, along with the amount and the consistency of the fluid present determine whether the sperm are able to make it to the egg; more specifically, which sperm makes it to the egg. Due to the genetic make-up of sperm, the Y-chromosome sperm and the X-chromosome sperm each have different conditions in which they flourish.

When trying to conceive a girl, intercourse should take place when the vaginal environment is most hospitable for the X-Chromosome sperm. The characteristics of the X-chromosome sperm indicate that it has the longer life cycle of the two; between the increased life span and resiliency, having intercourse between two and four days prior to ovulation may raise a couple’s chance of getting pregnant with a girl.

Position during intercourse could also have some bearing on the gender of the child. This, too, is attributed to the hardiness of the X-sperm. Missionary positioning is said to be likely to help in the conception of a baby girl. The more shallow the penetration, the farther the sperm need to travel in order to reach the cervix and proceed on to penetrate the egg. Therefore, the more resilient X-sperm will have a better chance of making the longer journey needed with missionary position as opposed to a position that allows deeper penetration.

Diet may also play a part in the equation. When researching how to trying conceive a girl, couples will find information on the acidity and alkalinity of certain foods. The Y-sperm, being weaker, does not tolerate an acidic environment as well as the X-sperm. A diet high in acidity would include foods such as yogurt, plums, eggs, beans, corn, meats, and cranberries, among others. Logical reasoning would say that an acidic diet could increase the chances of conceiving a baby girl as it would amplify the chances of a male’s X-sperm surviving, both within his own body and after the sperm has entered the female body.

Deciding to attempt natural gender selection is a very personal decision. Many people are on the fence about this practice as it has been presented both optimistically and negatively. If a couple chooses to attempt any of these methods, they must understand that while there is anecdotal evidence of couples succeeding in conceiving girls using techniques such as these, there is no guarantee that this will happen.
